Federal and State Tax Information

In an effort to encourage more taxpayers to file electronically, the IRS and the Illinois Department of Revenue are sending us very limited tax forms and related supplies.  As a result, many tax filers will need to call the IRS or the Illinois Department of Revenue directly to request that forms be mailed or use the website listed below to download forms and/or file electronically. Tax filers are encouraged to plan ahead for tax forms and tax filing needs.

Volunteers from AARP will be at WNPL on Mondays and Fridays, from Mon., Feb. 1 through Mon. Apr. 18, 2016 in Meeting Rooms A&B to offer tax preparation assistance from 9:15 am-12 noon on a first come, first served basis. They are able to prepare both federal and Illinois state taxes.
