After Savich stops a crazy man from harming a pregnant woman, the man unexpectedly falls into a coma and the doctors determine that his blood and DNA has been altered. This unknown man is known as Enigma 2 found on his arm band. There are more questions than answers…where had he come from? Why does no one know who he is? What is the connection between him and the young woman?
The issue becomes even more baffling as the young woman’s baby is kidnapped and John Doe (Enigma 2) has an assassination attempt. Savich and Sherlock and the FBI team are determined to find the answers before anything more happens.
In the mean time, other FBI agents are working to determine who robbed a bank and how they escaped from federal transportation.
As always, Coulter manages to blend two stories to make one really good book. She brings issues into the forefront and questions our beliefs. The part of the story about DNA was very interesting and left you wondering if one should want to live for hundreds of years. I love when a book brings about a debate — don’t you?
