Petition Filing and Lottery Information

The Warren-Newport Public Library District is accepting candidate nomination papers for the following library trustee seats: three full six-year terms; one unexpired two-year term.

The filing period for candidates seeking to be nominated at the April 4, 2017, Consolidated Election is Dec. 12 – 19. Filing will conclude at 5 p.m. on Mon., Dec. 19. The Administration office will be open each day of the filing period 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with the exception of Sat., Dec. 17, and Sun., Dec. 18.

The lottery for all simultaneous filers will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, in the McCullough Board Room. Individuals who have questions regarding petitions, filing, or objections should contact the Administration Department at 847-244-5150 extension 3008.
