Suggestions & Questions from Our Library Users September 2017 Building-related comments 1. Need and extra handicap spot. Perhaps you are not aware that there is a fourth handicap space on the west side of the building, in addition to the three in front. With limited real estate, we are unable to add more beyond the recommended and required number. Please see staff if you need assistance. Thank you. 2. Cut the weeds! Please! We have allocated funds in this year’s budget to start a project that will involve refreshing our landscaping at the front of the building. Admittedly, we have had some challenges with our native landscaping, so we are investigating plans to either try to repurpose our current landscaping or change the landscaping to something that is easier to maintain. Service-related comments 1. Please refresh your sci-fi audio books selection. Most titles you have kept have been there for years, w/o new many titles to select from. Also keep in mind Sci-fi authors generally write novels in sequential series. Please begin offering entire series. Not just book 3 or 4 in a series. Thank you for your suggestions. We will pass it on to the appropriate selector. However, if you have titles that you would like to see in our collection, feel free to suggest specific titles at the Adult Services Desk. 2. We need yoga for adults. Please! We have had yoga programs in the past and hope to offer them again soon. Thanks for your interest. 3. Please bring in Tamil language books. I would recommend to place TINKLE Comic books for all type of readers. Thanks. And I love all the kind staff. Love you guys! At this time, we only have a Spanish language collection. We may be able to interlibrary loan titles for you in Tamil if you have a Warren-  Newport Public Library card. Please see staff at the Adult Services Desk for more information about this service. Due to budget, space and staffing limitations, we do not have plans to purchase a 3D printer at this time. Miscellaneous-related comments 1. Craft area in coco’s cove would be fun. We love the idea of more fun, and have been working on new activity additions to Coco’s Cove. Watch for playful developments in the months to come! 2. New cars no longer have disc players. I have an old phone & can’t download books on disc to phone. I have to download to thumb drive. Can you offer books on thumb drives? Unfortunately, books on thumb drives are not available at this time. We are unable to copy our own collection to thumb drives as that would be a copyright infringement.
