Celebrate Dr. Seuss
Bring your children in grades 1-2 to the library for a Dr. Seuss party on Thursday, March 22,
4:30-5:15 p.m. Kids will listen to their favorite Dr. Seuss stories, play fun games and make a

Discover Dinosaurs
All are welcome to attend Dinosaur Discoveries held on Saturday, March 24, 2-3 p.m. Come
learn about the world of dinosaurs and how live animals today compare to the dinosaurs of the
past. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please register online at wnpl.info or call 847244-

Spring Break Movie Matinees for Kids
No school? No problem. Bring your kids into the library on Sunday, March 25, and Thursday,
March 29, for Movie Matinees. We will be showing The Good Dinosaur (PG) on our big screen
on Sunday, March 25, at 2 p.m. Disney’s Coco (PG) will be shown on Thursday, March 29, at
10 a.m. (en español) and at 2 p.m. in English. There will be animal crackers served to those
who attend. You are welcome to bring your own snacks and beverages as well. A raffle drawing
will be held to win the DVD at each movie showing. All ages are welcome with an adult. No
registration is required.
S.M.I.LE. Event
Our next Special Mondays in the Library Event known as S.M.I.L.E. will be held on Monday,
March 26, at 6:30 p.m. These events are for adults ages 18 and up with developmental
challenges. Participants will celebrate the beginning of spring by creating a flower bouquet and

Superhero Comic War
Who has the best superheroes—Marvel or DC? Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to declare a
side and attend this fun-filled event on Tuesday, March 27, 1:30-3 p.m. Come dressed as your
favorite Marvel or DC character for the costume contest. Attendees can also compete in a trivia
contest and enjoy some comic-themed snacks. Please register online at wnpl.info or call 847244-

The Warren-Newport Public Library District, founded by volunteers in 1973, serves a population
of approximately 67,000 within a 55-square mile area that covers all or most of Warren and
Newport townships, including Gurnee, Wadsworth, Park City, Wildwood, Grandwood Park, Old
Mill Creek, and portions of Grayslake, Millburn, Lake Villa, Libertyville and Waukegan. Most
programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
