Clean out that closet and go green at the same time! You can bring shoes that you no longer
need or wear to the library from April 1-21 to be recycled by SWALCO. All types of shoes are
welcome with the exception of rollerblades, ice skates and winter boots (dress, hiking and rain
boots are okay). Please tie laces or rubber-band pairs together.
New Bookmobile Stop
Now when you make a grocery run you can also grab some great books in the parking lot! Find
the WNPL Bookmobile at Jewel-Osco on Hunt Club Road in Gurnee on Saturdays from 12:50
p.m. to 2 p.m. starting April 7.

Don’t miss the author of Lightning Strikes: Timeless Lessons in Creativity from the Life and
Work of Nikola Tesla on Tuesday, April 10, at 7 p.m. In this fascinating book, Wasik shows how
to conceptualize, create, collaborate and innovate using the great inventor’s vision and work as
a lens. Tesla—the inventor and car—is hotter than ever and this program is open to all ages.
