Suggestions & Questions from Our Library Users
1. I very much enjoy the hot picks for DVDís. Would you be able to offer
hot picks for audio books?
Thank you for your suggestion. The concept of hot picks is new and
popular items that are released can be enjoyed quickly by a patron and
returned immediately to the library for the next person to enjoy.
Audiobooks, by their very nature, take a considerable amount of time to
consume, and thus wouldnít be a good format for a hot picks collection.
For this reason, and due to budget and space constraints, it isnít
feasible for us to offer a audiobooks hot picks collection.
2. What an excellent Library. Everyone is so helpful especially Amy B.!

1. We love this library. But now we have a problemÖ Our children are
distracted away from your books because now you have ipads. . We
have TV, computers and ipads at home. We bring our kids to the
library to get them away from electronics. It would be helpful if you
would remove the ipads from plain site and have them available by
request. Itís distracting my children away from the books. We need to
keep books and puzzles the central focus of the library. Thank you..
As a parent myself, I certainly share your concerns about screen time.
After all, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no more
than two hours of entertainment-based screen time per day for school-
age kids, and no more than one hour per day before school-age. That
said, WNPL serves many families who do not have computers and
iPads at home, and the only access they have to them is here. The apps
loaded onto our iPads are strictly educational, and due to security
concerns it is necessary for us to keep them tethered in place. We
appreciate your love of the library and your understanding about why
we offer iPads to our patrons.
2. It might be a good idea to have a Writerís Meet Up once a month.
Thank you for your suggestion. Weíll keep it in mind when planning
3. Situation: some people donít wash their hands after bathroom.
Problem: the rest of us donít want to touch the door handle on the way
out. Solution: Keep the garbage can near the door so the rest of us can
dispose of the paper towels we use on the door.
Thank you for sharing your idea. When we have attempted to place
disposal cans near the doors of the restrooms, they have become tripping
hazards for others. At this time, we have elected not to move the
disposal units. However, you can find disposal cans very close to the
restrooms as you can see in the following photo:
Thank you for taking the time to help us improve our service to you.
