Library of Things

Library of Things

Why buy, when you can borrow? The Library of Things collection awaits, with a wide variety of items for all ages to borrow, use, and return. Library of Things items allow you to create, experiment, and envision before making decisions to purchase or store items you may need only on an occasional basis. It’s fun, fast, and easy to get started.

It’s borrowing made simple:

Library of Things Display

1) Locate the display in the library lobby or find the collection online.

A green card on display means that the item is available that day to borrow from the Checkout Desk. An orange card shows that the item is currently checked out, but a hold can be placed to receive the item at a later date.

The Library of Things collection is also available online in the library catalog. Find unique and fun items for adults or kids! Holds can be placed with your WNPL card.

Coffee Pot

2) Enjoy your Library of Things item!

The Library of Things collection includes physical items that are useful and practical, but also incorporates items meant to spark your creativity and explore new possibilities. Need a large coffee pot to serve your guests at a summer backyard party? Perhaps you have wanted to test out a Cricut machine or Switch gaming system but wanted to learn more before purchasing one. The Library of Things is a perfect place to start!

3) Return Library of Things items to the Checkout Desk.

Please return all Library of Things items to the friendly staff at the Checkout Desk, unless otherwise specified. The library wants to keep items in good shape and in borrowing condition for as long as possible, so returning these items to library staff will prevent unnecessary damage.
