The WNPL Board of Trustees and staff gratefully recognize the Friends for their essential support! The Friends of the Warren-Newport Public Library formed in 1973 and currently has close to 150 members. Their donations, around $45,000 annually, help to pay for programming, Nooks, iPads for preschoolers, museum passes, The Point and more. The Community Care Connection, a mobile health unit from Rosalind Franklin University, visits WNPL Thursday, Oct. 6, 10am-1pm in the parking lot. Free screenings are offered for blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, body mass and waist measurement.
