National Friends of Libraries Week is October 19-25, a time to recognize the accomplishments and support of Friends of Libraries groups across the country.
We are celebrating our amazing Friends of Warren-Newport Public Library (WNPL)!
The Friends are community volunteers dedicated to supporting the library through fundraising, programs, and advocacy. They believe that a strong library is essential to the intellectual and cultural growth of our community.
Through their efforts, the Friends help fund:
- Over $30,000 each year for library programs for all ages.
- Summer reading and literacy programs, including the annual Creative Writing Contest and the newly created 100 Books Before College Scholarship.
- Innovative technology and equipment that benefit our community.
For the price of your favorite latte, you can join the Friends of WNPL and make a lasting impact. Complete a membership form and return it to the Welcome Desk or mail it to the address listed. Invite a friend or neighbor to join too!
We are deeply thankful for our Friends and their ongoing commitment to making our library thrive.
