Impact of Endless Possibilities

September 24, 2025September 15, 2025 Karen Gilpatrick
Endless possibilities with a library card. Hand holding a library card.

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, and there is no better time to discover just how far a library card can take you. One small card opens endless possibilities for you, whether you are exploring new hobbies, building career skills, or connecting with your community.

With your library card, you can:

  • Learn an instrument with online tutorials or even checking out musical equipment in our Library of Things.
  • Explore coding or tech skills with hands-on programs or databases like Udemy.
  • Access essential tools like Wi-Fi hotspots, public computers, and printing.
  • Save money by borrowing instead of buying – from books and movies to video games and crafting equipment.
  • Advance your career with resume-building resources, job search support, and online courses.

Every time you use your library card, you are not just enriching your own life, but you are also helping to strengthen the library for everyone. High community use helps us advocate for funding, expand services, and continue to be a hub of learning, creativity, and connection.

If you don’t already have a card, now is the perfect time to sign up. Already a cardholder? Celebrate by trying something new this month or share with your friends and family how important your library card is and all the possibilities it unlocks.
