Shape Your Future

census 2020, census

You can respond to the 2020 Census online at WNPL when the survey becomes available in mid-March. Responding is easy, safe and important. Decisions made from the 2020 Census count will affect our lives for more than 10 years. The impact of uncounted individuals in the Census is underfunded schools, libraries and other essential services.

You may receive an invitation to respond online to the 2020 Census. Some households will also receive paper questionnaires. Whether you receive a postcard, paper survey or visit from a Census enumerator, please make sure you and all of your family members are counted. Information is anonymous and confidential. By law, (Title 13 of the U.S. Code), Census records cannot be made public for 72 years.

The census is your chance to shape the future. When everyone is counted in the 2020 Census, our communities get the funding they need for things like health care, education, emergency services and more. When we all respond, we all benefit.
