The Warren-Newport Public Library offers ten (10) study rooms available during regular library hours for individual or small group study sessions, projects, or meetings, with varied room capacities:
*Please note in our Policy 3053; Article 2. “Any individual or group is limited to one (1) room for two (2) hours per day.”
Study Room 1: Maximum 6 people
Study Room 2: Maximum 6 people
Study Room 3: Maximum 10 people
Study Room 4: Maximum 1 person
Study Room 5: Maximum 3 people
Study Room 6: Maximum 10 people
Pillar Booth 1: Maximum 1 person
Pillar Booth 2: Maximum 1 person
Pillar Booth 3: Maximum 1 person
Pillar Booth 4: Maximum 1 person
Reservations can be made in advance or day-of, by phone, online or in person.
Advance Reservations (up to one month in advance):
- Online: Visit this page and navigate to the online reservation system. To reserve a study room in advance, you will need a valid Warren-Newport Public Library card.
Day-of Reservations (no library card needed):
- Walk-in Requests: If a study room becomes available on the day you visit, you make a request at the library’s self-service kiosk or any service desk. No library card is required for these requests.
Phone Reservations:
- Phone: Call the library directly at (847-244-5150) during open business hours if you need assistance reserving a room.
General Information:
Misusing or damaging library study rooms can result in a loss of library privileges.
Each study room reservation is for a maximum of two (2) consecutive hours per day.
Study room reservations will be held for 15 minutes past your start time before releasing the room to for the next request.
Policy 3053 Study Rooms details complete study room use guidelines, including rules regarding noise levels, room capacity, and proper use of furniture.
The library assumes no responsibility for personal belongings left unattended in the study rooms.
Library staff monitor study room usage and can take action to remove patrons who violate library rules.
Request a Meeting Room


These guidelines govern the use of meeting rooms by WNPL cardholders and non-profit organizations. Eligible groups may reserve rooms for cultural, educational, or civic programs and meetings that align with the mission and values of Warren-Newport Public Library.
Reservation Guidelines
- Reservations must be made at least one week in advance.
- Rooms may be reserved up to 60 days ahead.
- Each organization may reserve a meeting room once per month.
- Reservation times must include set-up and clean-up.
Room Usage
- WNPL staff cannot assist with room setup, moving furniture, or transporting supplies.
- Rooms must be left clean and ready for the next group.
- All meetings must be free and open to the public.
Publicity
- WNPL does not promote non-library events.
- Any publicity must:
- Clearly state that WNPL is only providing the space.
- Include the contact information of the organizing group.
- Avoid implying WNPL endorsement.
Responsibilities
- The person submitting the reservation is responsible for ensuring compliance with WNPL’s Meeting Room Policy.
- WNPL reserves the right to:
- Revoke meeting room privileges for policy violations.
- Deny or cancel reservations at its discretion.
