Due to a capital improvement project that will enhance the library’s HVAC systems, the library will be closed to the public from Mon., Nov. 27 through Sun., Dec. 3, for everyone’s safety. Limited services will be available during normal library hours, from Mon., Dec. 4 through Sun., Dec. 10, with an anticipated reopening for full service on Mon., Dec. 11. (Weather conditions permitting for project progress and full reopening.)
Library services available from Mon., Nov. 27-Sun., Dec. 3 include:
- Library catalog and ability to place holds – WNPL cardholders can access any Illinois public library with a WNPL card, including libraries that are part of the CCS consortia
- Ebooks, Eaudiobooks, movies, and music downloaded or streamed from Libby, hoopla, or Kanopy
- Online resources for entertainment, learning and reference
- Remote book drop at Dada Drive
Services available from Mon., Dec. 4-Sun., Dec. 10 include:
- All the above, plus:
- In-person checkout of holds, and a limited selection of popular titles
- Ability to request reference help via telephone or in person from library staff
- Book and Movie Bundles
- Take and Make craft and maker projects
- BookEnds, the Friends of WNPL used bookstore
- Drive-up book drop in the library parking lot
- Express locker pickup of holds
- Bookmobile at Hunt Club Community Center from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday
- Community stops with library Mobile Services Staff
- Virtual programs, including:

- Surviving the Holidays with Lori Gottlieb, Wed., Dec. 6, 7 p.m.
