WNPL Executive Director Ryan Livergood and Library Board of Trustees Vice President Celeste Flores had the privilege and opportunity to witness Governor JB Pritzker sign Illinois House Bill 2789 into law last week. Both Livergood and Flores talked with Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton, Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias, American Library Association (ALA) Executive Director Tracie D. Hall, and Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS) Executive Director Monica Harris at the event.
