Library Journal Mover & Shaker

Eddie Kristan, Library Journal, Movers & Shakers, award, recognition

Please join the WNPL community in congratulating Eddie Kristan, Safety & Security Supervisor, named by Library Journal as a 2020 Mover & Shaker in the Community Builders category. Library Journal is an internationally renowned publication for the library profession, in publication for over 140 years.

Upon learning of this recognition, Eddie shared:

The WNPL community is worth the work we put into creating a library space that is safe and welcoming for everyone. I’m incredibly really proud of my remarkable security team and fortunate to work at the World’s Nicest Public Library.

Ryan Livergood, WNPL Executive Director, stated:

Great library leaders have a tremendous amount of passion for serving their library and their community, and no one has more passion for WNPL and our patrons than Eddie. Eddie is truly outstanding and is very deserving of this honor.

The Library Journal Movers & Shakers awards began in 2002 to recognize library staff that are emerging leaders in the library world. Movers & Shakers profiles 50 or more up-and-coming, innovative, creative individuals from around the world–both great leaders and behind-the-scenes contributors–who are providing inspiration and model programs for others. Award-winning Movers & Shakers are librarians and non-degreed library workers to publishers, vendors, coders, entrepreneurs, reviewers, and others who impact the library field.

WNPL is very proud to honor Eddie, along with his peers, as 2020 Library Journal Movers & Shakers!
