What is Homebound Library Service?

Library materials are delivered right to your front door! From the latest fiction, audiobooks, and cookbooks, to music CDs and DVDs, we have thousands of materials waiting for you. Let the library come to you.

Am I Eligible?

Are you unable to make it to the library? This free Homebound Library Service is for you! Those eligible include Warren-Newport Public Library District residents who are temporarily or permanently confined to their homes because of illness, age, disability, or other extenuating circumstance. This service is open to all ages–from children to adults.

How Do I Sign Up?

It’s easy! Call the Warren-Newport Public Library’s Outreach Services department at 847-244-5150 ext. 3014 or ext. 3025.

We’ll find out if you’re eligible, what you’d like to receive and sign you up. Materials are delivered to your home by library staff on a schedule that fits your needs. You can request specific titles or ask us to select titles for you.

How Do I Refer Someone I Know?

Do you know someone who could potentially benefit from our Homebound Library Service? Refer them today! Simply call 847-244-5150 ext. 3025 and we’ll take care of the rest. Physician and nursing home referrals are welcome as well.
